Would you like to make a yummy springtime treat with your kiddos in addition to the traditional egg dying activities? Look no further! This quick and easy recipe for Spring Munch is not only yummy but colorful too! Make some sweet springtime memories that kids are bound to love but that doesn’t “break the bank” either.
Ingredients and Such:
- Lucky Charms Cereal Box (family size)
- 6 cups of pretzel sticks
- White chocolate baking bars or medium-sized bag of white chocolate chips
- 9 oz. bag of m&m’s
- ¼ cup rainbow sprinkles (or any variety you like)
- Parchment paper
- Baking tray
- 2 Mixing bowls (or any large bowl)
- 1 small microwavable safe bowl
This recipe is quick and easy and is one the kiddos can easily help you make. First, get your mixing bowl out and measure 6 cups of pretzel sticks. Pour them in the mixing bowl along with the m&m’s. Next, in a separate mixing bowl, separate the Lucky charms marshmallows from the wheat portion of the cereal. Add all the marshmallows to the pretzel and m&m mixture.
Now, it’s time to heat up your baking bars or white chocolate chips. Pour the contents of the bag or the bar in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in the microwave for 30 seconds and stir. Repeat in 30-second intervals until the white chocolate is melted. Next, pour the melted white chocolate over the pretzel, marshmallow, and m&m mixture and stir to evenly coat. Pour the mixture on top of a parchment paper-lined baking sheet. Spread the mixture evenly onto the baking sheet then sprinkle generously on top of the mixture. Allow the mixture to cool for 15-20 minutes and then break it apart. Enjoy your special springtime treat!
